Transitional Momentum for Ecological Grief
Transitional Momentum for Ecological Grief looks at the profound environmental changes and the emotions that accompany them through the lens of an artistic practice, working with the creative potential of nature to create balance for transition processes to unravel.
The participatory project is a performative installation and workshop. It formed the practical part of my Master thesis in Movement, Mind and Ecology at Schumacher College / Plymouth University in the UK (January 2024). Through somatic practices in collaboration with plants, the fluid dynamics between joy and grief, love and loss are getting explored. Magical moments of cross species creativity are emerging. Transformations inherent to the plant realm inspire to perceive decomposition and transitions as processes with regenerative potential.
